Welcome to Carnwethers Country House, here on the wonderful island of St. Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly, run by Rachel and Jeff Knowles.

Our accommodation comprises four 4 star self catering cottages click here;

Dove Lawn and Poolside, which each sleep four people;
Secret Garden and Rowan Tree, which both sleep two people.

All the cottages are set within a large, delightful and well stocked shared garden (but also with your own private areas). They all enjoy shared access to a fabulous air source heated salt chlorinated swimming pool, library, games room, croquet lawn and barbecue.

We also offer delightful B&B accommodation within Carnwethers Country House which is perfect if you'd like to kick back and have your breakfast brought to you every morning. The bedrooms are large – offering super king size double beds (or twins) with enough space for an additional bed if necessary.

Carnwethers Cottages and B&B are located “upcountry” on St. Mary’s (find us here) a 1.5 mile stroll to Hugh Town and the Quay (for the daily boats to the "off" islands) through lovely scenic countryside and via Holy Vale Vineyard, or 2.5 miles by road.

Once the farmhouse for Pelistry Farm, you’ll find us in a very quiet spot surrounded by wild fields, just a five-minute stroll to the most stunning and secluded beach at Pelistry Bay (one of Scilly’s best) and our wonderful coastal path. The beach looks out across the St. Martin’s and the Eastern Isles, and is right opposite Toll’s Island – reachable at lower tides and a paradise for children (and adults) looking to live the Swallows & Amazon dream!

Equally, our cottages offer the perfect set up for large family gatherings of up to 14 people so if you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a special occasion, we’d be happy to help get you celebrate, but be sure to book your stay well in advance!
