FACILITIES

Carnwethers Country House and its cottages stand in approximately one acre of well-stocked gardens.

As well as full use of the gardens, guests also have access to a wide range of facilities, which can be enjoyed throughout your stay. These include an air source heat pump, salt chlorinated swimming pool and sun loungers, croquet lawn and barbeque.

The 10m x 5m heated pool* is the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. The water is usually maintained at a temperature of between 27 and 29 degrees celsius.

Or simply stroll through our beautiful gardens, play a round of croquet, lounge by the pool or find a secluded spot for a snooze.

Carnwethers is also home to a flight of doves that make their home in our Dove Cotes.

*Swimming Pool

Please note: children using the pool must be supervised by a responsible parent or guardian at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty.

EQUIPMENT IN THE COTTAGES

All cottages have electric cookers, microwaves, electric kettles, refrigerators, colour TV, hairdryers, heating and heated towel rails. Linen and bath towels are provided.  (Please bring your own beach towels.)

Rates are inclusive of WiFi, electricity, heating and hot water.

Dove Lawn and Poolside have their own laundry facilities. A laundry room is available" for Secret Garden and Rowan Tree guests.

There is also a communal washing line.

DOGS

Carnwethers welcomes well-behaved dogs and their responsible owners, but by prior arrangement only.

There is a fee £35 per dog per week in cottages only. No dogs are allowed in the B&B rooms.

A charge* of £35 per week is made per dog, a percentage of which is shared amongst local environmental groups - the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, the local Bat Group - and the Vet Support Group - at the end of the season.

*Assistance dogs stay free of charge.

There is a vet on the islands.

CREATURE COMFORTS

'Creature Comforts' was set up by the voluntary Vet Support Group to raise funds to support the islands’ vet.  This local business provides visitors with the option to 'hire' dog beds and blankets, dog bowls and cages for a fee.

If you intend to bring your dog to the Isles of Scilly, this can save you the effort of transporting your own pets’ bedding and accoutrements. And part of the fee will go towards the maintenance of a veterinary practice on the Islands.

For Creature Comforts, please contact Pam Manning on 01720 422478
