Book Your Stay

BOOK YOUR STAY

Bookings are now being taken for 2021. You can also now reserve your accommodation online. Alternatively, please call or email us with your enquiries.

Early booking is recommended if you are looking to book Carnwethers exclusively – for a special family occasion, for example.

Bookings for the cottages are usually a minimum of seven nights. However, we are happy to consider shorter stays (minimum three nights) in early or late season (March/April/October). Please contact us to enquire.

HOW TO BOOK

You can now reserve your stay at Carnwether’s using an online reservation system on the Islands Official Tourism Page, www.visitscilly.com, which uses an online booking portal provided by Guestlink.. Clicking the blue buttons below will take you to the page on our website where you will find the Visit Scilly website embedded. This is where you can make a reservation. Scroll down to see the individual self catering unit and B&B's availability. If it shows availability then you can make an online reservation which will hold that booking. We will then contact you to confirm whether the reservation you have made is successful or not.

Please note Dove Lawn and Rowan Tree Cottages have Saturday changeover days. Pool side and Secret Garden have Friday changeover days. For the B&B we accept bookings of 3 nights’ minimum in high season. For March, April & October please call.

If you’d rather book over the telephone or via email, please do contact us.

The deposits are:
Dove Lawn £300 per week
Pool Side £300 per week
Secret Garden £200 per week
Rowan Tree £200 per week

B&B reservations are made with a pre-payment of £100 per room.

The balance of payment on holiday cottages is due no later than 8 weeks prior to you holiday.

CANCELLATIONS & INSURANCE

Deposits are non refundable. Regrettably, in the event of a cancellation within 8 weeks of the booking (i.e. after full payment has been received) the full cost will be charged unless the accommodation can be re-let. For this reason, we strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance.

PLAN YOUR TRAVEL

We advise that you check availability of seats and arrange your travel to Scilly as soon as you have booked your accommodation. Fridays and Saturdays are popular changeover days! All scheduled travel options to the islands is provided by Isles of Scilly Travel.

You can get to Scilly by passenger ferry from Penzance (2 hrs 45 mins) or you can fly from Exeter (April to October; 1 hr), Newquay (year round; 30 mins) and Land’s End (year round; 15 mins).

The boat sails 6 days a week (7 at the height of summer) generally leaving Penzance at 9.15am (unless tidal conditions dictate otherwise), and arriving at St Mary’s Quay at 12 noon. It leaves St Mary’s again at 4.30pm and arrives back in Penzance just after 7pm (again tides allowing).

Flights operate six days a week (not Sundays). Due to the length of the runway on St Mary’s, the aircraft used to fly to Scilly are small prop planes – a 16-seater Twin Otter or 8-seater Islander. You can also fly from Penzance in a helicopter with Penzance Helicopters..

All the details about how to book can be found on the Isles of Scilly Travel website (www.islesofscilly-travel.co.uk – opens new tab).

There are also plenty of accommodation options in and around Penzance, and also Land’s End, Newquay and Exeter airports if you’re looking for an overnight stay.  If you need advice about driving to Devon and Cornwall and/or where to park, or getting the train to connect with your flight or sailing, please do contact us.
